"Run For Girls! 2024" will be held on 13 April 2024 (Saturday) at Hong Kong Science Park Charles K. Kao Auditorium (Golden Egg).

You are welcome to “Run for Girls” or be the “Men for Change”. In addition, young generations are encouraged to compete in the new “Student Group” 3km run. Let's get our Gen Z Power united and put an end to child marriage!

You only can join either 10.11km run or 3km run. Runners of 10.11km and 3km are welcome to join Family 1km Fun Run.

Apart from Family 1km Fun Run, all other races will be entitled to have different awards, for more information, please refer to the Event page.

Runners must clearly understand the content and nature of the event, where it requires physical exertion. We highly recommend runners to determine and be aware of their own health conditions in whether they are suitable to participate.

In response to the "International Day of the Girl Child" on October 11, a 10.11km race was set up to arouse public attention to Girl's Right. Besides, in allowing more females, parents and children to participate for the event and stepping up to save girls from child marriage, a 3km and 1km fun run was created.

All children are equally important and shall enjoy the same rights and opportunities. However, surveys and actual conditions show that girls in developing countries are the most vulnerable group who suffers.

• According to the United Nations Population Fund, nearly 50% of Bangladesh girls are married before the age of 18, and 15% of them are even under the age of 15.
• In Bangladesh, poverty is one of the main reasons for girls being forced into early marriage. Apart from Child Marriage, they also face threats such as school dropout, early pregnancy, and domestic violence.

Through the Run For Girl 2024 event, we hope to arouse the public's attention about girl's rights and aims at ensuring every girl and young woman has power over her own life and can shape the world around her. We are aiming to change the way girls are valued in society so they no longer have to face injustice and oppression.

HK$350 per adult (a discounted price of HK$280 is offered for 10.11km individual run through running club with 10 runners or above) and HK$280 per tertiary student for Public Run; HK$350 per adult and HK$280 per child for Family Fun Run; Corporate Run will be subjected to the number of participants. Every 10 participants will be offered in a package price of HK4,000.

We accept online payments only. Participants can use MasterCard / Visa / American Express / Apple Pay / Google Pay to pay for the registration fee. For the payment of corporate run and running club, please contact Plan Hong Kong .

Applicants who successfully paid and registered via our official website will automatically receive a confirmation email. If you haven't yet received the confirmation, please check your spam email box. If you have any inquiries, please email to event@plan.org.hk.

Since all profits will be donated for charitable purposes, we are not able to refund any registration fees.

No. Registration fee is for participating in the charity run, and participants will be given runner's packs and goodie bags in return. It is not eligible for a tax-deductible receipt. Only donations other than registration fee that are HK$100 or above are eligible for tax-deductible e-receipts.

Unfortunately, once registration is confirmed, we do not allow any registration refund and quota refers.

Participants cannot change the race category and the names enrolled. If you wish to edit other contact information after registration is confirmed, please email to event@plan.org.hk for enquiry. The Organizer may charge an administration fee for the change.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the runners and donors who supported Run For Girls 2024. Since the donations from this event will be used to support Plan International's anti-child marriage project in Bangladesh, your donation is extremely important to these girls. In view of this, if the event is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer or in the case of a Force Majeure resulting in the Event being cancelled, no refunds will be arranged. In order to thank everyone for their support, participants will still be able to receive the runner's pack and goodie bag from sponsors.

Since the event involves arrangements for venue and road permits, volunteer manpowers and other expenses, if the event has to be cancelled for any reasons, we might not be able to re-organised the event within a short period. However, “early bird registration” will be prioritised for those affected in our next “Run For Girls” event. The Organizers reserved the right to the final decision.

Yes, Tertiary Student teams, comprising 2 to 4 students aged 18 to 23, are welcome to have members from different tertiary institutions. The team size is limited to 2 - 4 team members.

Yes, each team in the Tertiary Student Group Run must have their team captain upload their own student ID to the registration website for verification. All team members will be required to upload their student ID after they receive the registration confirmation email, and present their student ID when collecting their runner's pack to undergo identity verification.

JPEG / PNG image format is accepted, and the maximum size of the image is 5MB.

It is recommended to gather a sufficient number of participants for registration; otherwise, the registration fee will be charged in official price.

In response to environmental protection, Runner's pack redemption announcement will be sent to successful registered runners by the end of April via email. Registered runners can log into their individual Cosmart membership account, the official registration platform, to view their registration details and QR code for picking up the runner's pack. If participants did not receive the runner's pack redemption email by 2 April 2024, please contact us at event@plan.org.hk.

Participants are required to show the shared QR code on the runner's pack redemption email and the Hong Kong Identity card / passport that you used to register, in order to redeem your runner's pack.

Children runner's pack will be picked up by Family Run's Team Leader; all other adult participants have to pick the runner's pack on their own.

Yes. However, you must provide the following documents for your representative to pick up at the designated period and location.

• A copy of the runner's pack redemption email and QR code
• Authorisation letter
• A copy of runner's HKID / Passport
• A copy of runner's student ID (Student Group only)

Please note we will not be distributing any runner's pack, including runner's bib with timing chip, luggage storage tags and event T-Shirt at the event day on-site.

No, we will not mail any runner's pack to participants to avoid loss of package due to the mailing failure.

No. Once participants choose their T-Shirt size during registration, no exchange on sizes will be allowed.

No. Any participants who do not have an official runner's bib will not be allowed to join.

Yes, you're still allowed to compete in the run. After finishing the run, you are still entitled to receive the goodie bag and certificate.

Runners should wear proper sportswear and sports shoes. Please be reminded to pin and attach the runner's bib (with timing chip) to your T-Shirt, so our staff will be able to identify you. We highly encourage all runners to wear our official event T-Shirt that we distributed in the runner's pack in boosting the event vibes.

Yes, limited temporary luggage storage will be provided. Bring along and attach the luggage tag to your own bag at the event day, you can find the luggage tag from your runner's pack. Please note runner's shall keep their valuables to themselves, Organizers will not be responsible to any loss or damage of personal property.

You are not required to report your arrival. Please be patient and attentive to the instructions by our staff, and arrive at the starting point of the track 10 minutes before your run starts.

Runners should leave the track as soon as possible after arriving at the finish line and will be directed to the gift redemption stations to pick up their goodie bag. Runners can also visit the booths set up in the venue and take photos with the decorations.

e-Certificates are ready for download after a week of the event. The link will be released on Organizer's social media platform.

If the Hong Kong Observatory issued Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or above, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal at or after 3:00 am on the race day, the race will be cancelled. In response to any unspecified adverse weather conditions or unpredictable circumstances, the Organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the event. Announcements will be released on both COSMOPOLITAN & PLAN Hong Kong social media. We highly recommend you to check the weather condition before travelling to the event location in the morning.

No. Runners are not allowed to bring any pets or any form of auxiliary tools, such as wheelchairs, bicycles, skates, trolleys, pulleys built into or attached to shoes, etc., into the track area.

Yes, however they are only allowed to watch and cheer for the runners in a designated area near the finish line.
